Saving a few when buying a new home means there may be some things that need to be done. For a home investor who’s the new owner of a house in Princeton, the work included foundation repair.
There were some significant cracks around the front portion of the home, both on the exterior and interior walls and ceilings.
This required piers to be installed both around the perimeter of the house and inside 2 bedrooms on the affected area of the house. Since the home investor planned to rent out the house, no one has moved in yet and we fortunately were able to work seamlessly throughout especially indoors.
We installed 16 concrete piers from our PT2 system. Three of them had to be installed under the garage and 1 in each bedroom indoors, while the remaining piers were installed around the front perimeter.
Whenever we start doing any kind of work, we make sure we clean up and leave the place almost exactly the way we found it when we arrived.
For this project, we had to do a lot of excavating and we didn’t want to damage the sprinkler system. We tested it before and after with no issues.
We left the home with foundation problems fixed, the cracks and gaps less prominent, and the foundation strengthened and stabilized.
