Long-Term Foundation Solution for a Home in Argyle

There’s really no place where your safety is guaranteed. We never know what can happen at any given time, even if you’re in a place of comfort or a familiar situation.

Even in your own home, there are some things that can be out of your control. But your home’s structural integrity is one thing that you have control over. To ignore signs and symptoms of foundation damage is putting your family’s safety at risk.

Imagine having a regular night at home, watching tv with your family, and hearing a loud bang from some part of your home. That’s exactly what our client in Argyle experienced one night.

A tile near the back of the house popped up and cracked, which caused the sound. But I can imagine how that would’ve been a terrifying few minutes of figuring out where the sound came from before realizing it’s not an immediate danger.

Still, the homeowner had been noticing cracks get worse over the years, and this recent event is just the push they needed to call us and have the issues addressed ASAP.

Steel Piers for a Failing Foundation in Argyle

As it turns out, the loud noise was due to the tile near the back of the house popping up and cracking. There were also a lot of cracks both inside and outside the house that developed over the past few years. The foundation has significantly sunk in and needed to be lifted.

We installed steel piers or what we call our PT3 system to resolve the foundation issues. Steel piers are a much more long-term solution than concrete piers.

Since our client planned on living in this home for many years, they opted for the steel piers. They wouldn’t have to deal with the same foundation issues for a long time.
