Failing Foundations in Bedford, Texas
A Bedford homeowner reached out to us through their realtor. Their mother had passed away recently, and they needed to sell her house. In fact, they were already under contract when the buyer discovered that the home had a failing foundation. There were signs inside and outside the home that clearly indicated there were foundation issues.
The closing date was already set, and our client was hoping not to break it. Thus, they needed this project completed as timely as possible. To help expedite the process, they hired their own engineer to conduct and evaluation of the foundation. The engineer said that the most likely cause of the foundation failure was erosion in the area.
Expert Foundation Repair For Texan Homeowners
Now that the evaluation was done, it’s our team’s turn! To resolve the issue, we installed our cost-effective PT2 system. These are steel rebar reinforced concrete pressed pilings that we pushed deep into the soil until they hit the restrictive layer of strata beneath the foundation. We installed five of these around the back right corner of the house. These will work by ensuring that the house will stay stable and level despite the erosion.
Despite having a limited crew due to the number of projects our main team was handling, we were able to knock this out in just one day for our customer. We stay true to our word! Now, the homeowner only needs to wait for the final engineering report for the sale to push through. It looks like we are going to beat the deadline with a couple of days to spare!
