Our recent customer in Flower Mound was experiencing some major drainage problems in their backyard to the point that every time it rained, dirty water would get into their pool.
The culprit? Drains that they had installed before, which were not done properly, hence they stopped working…
When the homeowners tried to clean it to no avail, they decided to call us in. We determined that since there were roots in the drain when he tried to clean it, the drain is most likely clogged and broken, and will need to be replaced.
Simultaneously, the existing drain line just ended in the dirt.
We dug up the area where we think the problem started and installed a new drain line with heavy duty material. We also dug a new ditch to extend the line all the way out to the street, so that it could last longer and prevent future blockage problems. This time, instead of the water being drained into the grassy area in their backyard, it will go out of the curb.
We also replaced a portion attached to a downspout, so that our client wouldn’t have to deal with the same problem with it.
The new drain line we installed is less prone to blockage and the extension ensures its durability and longevity. Now our client wouldn’t have to worry about getting dirty water into their pool, and go back to enjoying their backyard, especially as summer comes along.
