A McKinney homeowner was getting ready to sell their home, but there were several issues that would have prevented a smooth transaction. One such issue was the large expansion joint separation on the side of their house. They wanted to solve the problem so they could make a successful sale, but they also didn’t want to pump a ton of money into the house right before selling it!
Using state-of-the-art elevation tools, our team made a thorough inspection of their home. We were able to pinpoint the exact problem area, which was along the front perimeter of the home. This way, they wouldn’t have to overpay for the repairs.
Based on the findings of our expert team, the best, most cost-effective solution would be installing a solid concrete pressed piling called a PT1 system! We installed 11 piers under the problem area of the foundation, making sure to drive them down to the restrictive clay layer that would provide better support for the home above it.
After one day, the piers were installed, and we were able to lift the front of the home back to its original place. Doing so also closed all the cosmetic separations. We were able to solve their foundation problems AND improve the appearance of their home all in one go WITHOUT disturbing their exterior landscaping too much!
